KIDEPO MANELESS ZEBRA

This evolutionary unique zebra differs from the Grant´s Zebra by ethology, teeth morphology, black noses, and mainly by mane absence in males. It was almost completely extirpated in all range in Uganda, Sudan and Ethiopia. The last 50-100 specimens live here in the Kidepo Valley. The relationships with the nearest relatives, the mainless zebras of Kenya, are still unclear.
